I’m usually a big fan of the telephoto lens. Wildlife doesn’t usually like for you to get too close, so using the power of the camera to bring them to you is the way to go. It’s better for the animals, and better for you (if you want to document natural behavior). But during the Summer, there are tiny worlds happening everywhere, if you know where to look. The insects and pollinators who form the foundations of our ecosystem are as fascinating as they are beautiful.
