When people outside New York think about the city, its usually midtown Manhattan. Skyscrapers, flashy billboards, high-end retail, and restaurants galore. But the island has much more to offer— from the old growth and glacial potholes of Inwood Hill all the way down to the aquatic life around Battery Park.
