Spring Migration along the Atlantic Flyway’s biggest city is something to behold.

New York City is home to the bright lights of Broadway, but every spring, it’s tiny birds that steal the show. Deep blues, vibrant reds, stunning yellows, these tiny birds have go it all. Even more incredible than their remarkable colors are the journeys they undertake. Some, like the Yellow Warbler, have arrived here at the end of a long journey to breed and launch the next generation. Others, like the Blackpoll Warbler, are just passing through on a journey of more than 12,000 miles. They’re here for a limited time only— so check the gallery below and county how many species you noticed this year.
